Accounts Payable Assistant (Part-Time)

Schedule:
Part-Time | On-Site | Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Compensation: $25-28/hr

Position Summary

We are working with a well-established client in Tarrytown that has been a trusted client of ours, and one where we’ve built a strong track record of placing talented finance and accounting professionals. This is a stable, structured environment with a collaborative AP team and real flexibility once you’re up and running. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Accounts Payable Assistant to support the Accounts Payable team with invoice processing, vendor maintenance, and daily communications. This role requires strong administrative skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to accuracy and timely follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, research, and resolve Accounts Payable inquiries and communications.
  • Manage the Accounts Payable shared inbox, responding professionally to internal and external inquiries while ensuring timely issue resolution.
  • Set up and maintain vendor records, including banking information, in accordance with company procedures.
  • Provide backup support for Accounts Payable Coordinators and assist with additional AP functions as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate accounts payable operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required, at minimum
  • 2 years of administrative experience, preferably supporting Accounts Payable, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with accounts payable automation tools and workflow systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
