Key Responsibilities

• Process payroll as a Union Payroll Specialist for employees covered by multiple collective bargaining agreements.
• Calculate and administer union deductions, fringe benefits, and trust fund contributions.
• Prepare certified payroll reports and ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and union requirements.
• Audit payroll data, wage rates, classifications, and job costing information for accuracy.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee and union payroll inquiries.
• Support payroll reconciliations, audits, and compliance-related reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Union Payroll Specialist or processing payroll in a union environment.
• Strong knowledge of collective bargaining agreements, union wage structures, and fringe benefit contributions.
• Experience with certified payroll reporting and prevailing wage regulations.
• Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in construction, flooring, contracting, or other labor-intensive industries.
• Familiarity with Paylocity or similar payroll and HRIS platforms.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Experience with multi-state payroll processing and union benefit fund reporting.
