Key Responsibilities- Payroll Specialist

  • Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on schedule for employees on a regular payroll cycle.

  • The Payroll Specialist will review payroll data, employee changes, deductions, and timekeeping information for accuracy.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.

  • Maintain accurate payroll records and research and resolve discrepancies.

  • The Payroll Specialist will process payroll-related adjustments, including bonuses, deductions, and other employee changes.

  • Reconcile payroll and related accounts and assist with month-end reporting.

  • Partner with HR and Finance to ensure employee data is accurate and up to date.

  • Respond to employee questions regarding payroll, deductions, and tax withholdings.

  • The Payroll Specialist will maintain payroll documentation and support internal and external audits as needed.

Qualifications- Payroll Specialist

  • 2+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience.

  • Experience with ADP, Paychex, or similar payroll systems.

  • Knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations preferred.

  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, taxes, deductions, and reconciliations.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information professionally.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
