Salary Range: $48,000–$60,000 Schedule: On-site | Full-time

Overview

A reputable employer in St. Joseph, MI is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage weekly and biweekly payroll processing for a diverse workforce. This role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and strong customer service skills.

Core Duties

  • Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees

  • Verify timecards, overtime, PTO, and shift differentials

  • Maintain employee payroll records and tax documentation

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal payroll regulations

  • Respond to employee payroll questions

  • Assist with year-end W-2s, audits, and reporting

  • Coordinate with HR on onboarding and payroll changes

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of payroll experience

  • Knowledge of payroll laws and multi-state regulations

  • Experience with ADP, Paylocity, Paychex, or similar systems

  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
