Key Responsibilities for the Plant Controller:
- Lead all plant accounting and financial reporting activities, including month-end close and financial statement preparation
- Partner with operations leadership to analyze manufacturing costs, labor efficiency, inventory, and plant performance metrics
- Develop and maintain annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
- Ensure accurate inventory accounting, cycle count programs, and physical inventory processes
- Monitor standard costs and support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational decision-making
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance staff within the facility
Qualifications for the Plant Controller:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience within a manufacturing environment
- Publicly traded experience would be nice to see
