Project Accountant
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 (depending on experience)
We are recruiting on behalf of a respected construction company in Indianapolis seeking a Project Accountant. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working closely with project managers, tracking costs, and ensuring the financial success of construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage project cost accounting, budgets, and variances
- Prepare monthly project financial reports
- Oversee AP/AR related to construction projects
- Collaborate with project managers to forecast costs and monitor profitability
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–5 years of accounting experience (construction industry preferred)
- Strong knowledge of job cost accounting and billing practices
- Proficiency with accounting software (Sage 300 CRE or similar preferred)
