About the Opportunity
Our client, a regional contractor supporting public and private sector projects, is seeking a Project Accountant to join their growing team. This Project Accountant will support multiple large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, partnering closely with Project Managers and subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Manage project billing including AIA G702/G703 and compliance documentation
- Track project costs, budgets, and percent complete
- Partner with Project Managers to monitor financial performance and variances
- Support subcontractor billing, documentation, and contract compliance
- Assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and project reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely financial tracking across multiple active projects
Qualifications
- 3+ years of project accounting experience (construction or infrastructure preferred)
- Experience with AIA billing (G702/G703) and public sector compliance (IDOT, CDOT a plus)
- Strong understanding of job cost accounting and project financials
