Key Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant:
- Prepare financial statements for multiple entities, management reports, and variance analysis
- Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank reconciliations, intercompany accounts, and subsidiary ledgers
- Full cycle A/P and A/R – coding to different entities
- Support month-end and year-end close activities while ensuring financial accuracy
- Coordinate audit preparation, audit schedules, and respond to auditor requests
- Review grant activity for reporting compliance and collaborate with internal teams
- Identify accounting process improvements and help implement operational efficiencies
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business Administration, or related field
- Three or more years of accounting experience
- Experience preparing financial statements and account reconciliations
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with Yardi a huge plus
Preferred:
- Property or real estate accounting experience
- High-volume bank reconciliation experience
