Property Accountant
Location: Manchester, CT / Fully Onsite
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Accountant to join a growing team supporting a multi-state residential property portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys owning the full accounting cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle property accounting for a portfolio of residential properties across multiple states
- Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile bank accounts, and maintain balance sheet reconciliations
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including variance (flux) analysis and supporting schedules
- Calculate and record depreciation and other recurring accounting entries
- Perform quarterly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Collaborate with external auditors by preparing documentation and supporting audit requests
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records in compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
What We’re Looking For
- Prior full-cycle accounting experience within property management
- Strong experience with month-end close in a multi-entity environment
- Working knowledge of Yardi is a plus, or experience with similar ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Salary: $80,000 – $95,000
