Property Accountant
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000

Key Responsibilities for the Property Accountant:
- Manage the full-cycle accounting process for an assigned portfolio of multifamily properties
- Prepare monthly financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Perform month-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
- Monitor cash flow, forecast cash needs, and oversee property-level banking activity
- Calculate and process management fees, owner distributions, accruals, and reclasses
- Partner with on-site property management teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Analyze financial statements and provide commentary and insights to leadership
- Monitor lender escrows, replacement reserves, debt service, and other property obligations
- Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, audits, and special projects
- Support acquisitions, dispositions, and onboarding of new properties
Qualifications for the Property Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3+ years of property accounting experience required
- Experience managing the full accounting cycle for multiple properties
- Experience with Yardi, RealPage, MRI, or similar property accounting software
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements
