Property Accounting Manager Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong GAAP accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close experience
- Prior leadership, mentoring, or demonstrated ability to guide and develop others
- Commercial real estate or property accounting experience preferred
- Yardi, MRI, or similar property accounting systems experience strongly preferred
Property Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process and review financial statements for accuracy
- Manage, mentor, and develop Property Accountants while providing hands-on support when needed
- Review reconciliations, billings, budgets, and supporting schedules across the portfolio
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, audit support, and year-end accounting activities
- Partner with the CFO to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance reporting
