Senior Accountant / Financial Analyst
We are partnering with a mission-driven organization seeking a Senior Accountant / Financial Analyst to join their finance team. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis while supporting a multi-entity organization. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare financial reports for multiple entities and business units.
- Assist with accounts payable and other core accounting functions as needed.
- Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate audit requests and prepare supporting schedules for external auditors.
- Monitor budgets and help ensure compliance with organizational policies and funding requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA, CPA-track, or Master’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experience.
- Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, human services, or other multi-entity organizations is a plus.
- Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close.
- Familiarity with grants, government funding, or reimbursement-based programs is preferred.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
