We’re partnering with a publicly traded midstream energy organization for a Senior Accountant as the company continues to expand and strengthen its accounting and reporting functions.
As part of their ongoing growth and operational evolution, they are adding a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, general ledger activities, and process improvements across the organization.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both technical accounting and hands-on execution within the oil and gas / midstream sector.
What You’ll Do As a Senior Accountant:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Manage and perform general ledger account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Support and actively participate in month-end and year-end close processes
- Analyze financial results and provide variance analysis to leadership
- Assist with SEC reporting requirements, including 10-K and 10-Q filings
- Partner with cross-functional teams including FP&A, operations and internal stakeholders
- Support external audits and coordinate with auditors to ensure timely completion
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes
- Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards
- Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA or CPA – eligible strongly preferred
- 3 – 6+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or industry experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Oil and Gas or energy industry experience is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail
