Position Title: Senior Accountant
Salary: $60,000 – $73,000
Summary
Handles financial reporting, month-end close, general ledger maintenance, and compliance with GAAP. Supports audits, prepares accruals, and assists with regulatory filings and accounts payable.
Key Responsibilities
Month-End Close & General Ledger
- Lead month-end close for multiple entities
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and adjustments
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain chart of accounts and ensure report accuracy
- Coordinate with departments to gather inputs and explain variances
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Compile monthly financial reports for leadership and departments
- Respond to inquiries on budget performance and variances
- Create ad-hoc reports and financial models using Excel
Accounts Payable & Revenue Monitoring
- Support A/P functions and resolve issues
- Monitor revenue and receivables; escalate collection concerns
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 2 years in accounting; healthcare experience preferred
- Proficient in Excel and accounting systems
- Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills
