Position Overview

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in the month-end close, financial reporting, and ongoing process improvements. This individual will be deeply involved in analyzing financial results, supporting integration efforts, and helping enhance systems and workflows across the organization.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond transactional accounting and gain exposure to strategic initiatives and operational impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Analyze financial data to ensure accurate reporting of assets, liabilities, and P&L activity
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules
  • Prepare journal entries and ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with US GAAP
  • Assist in month-end close and preparation of P&L reporting packages for leadership
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams and external auditors
  • Analyze and maintain budget vs. actual reporting
  • Play a key role in systems enhancements and process improvements
  • Manage and reconcile bank and credit card activity, including reclassifications as needed
  • Support integration efforts, including acquisition-related accounting and process alignment
  • Serve as a liaison with financial institutions related to credit card activity

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3–6+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables; Macros a plus)
  • Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite a plus)
  • Background in distribution, retail, or operational environments is a strong plus
  • CPA/CMA or Master’s degree is a plus
