About the Opportunity – Senior Accountant
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to step into a long-term interim role supporting a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This position plays a critical role in stabilizing and executing the month-end close process while ensuring accurate financial reporting. Ideal for a self-directed professional who thrives in environments with limited documentation and evolving processes. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) required.
Key Responsibilities – Senior Accountant
- Own and execute key components of the month-end close process
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and adjustments
- Perform account reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy
- Tie out and validate financial data across multiple systems into Microsoft Dynamics GP
- Investigate, identify, and resolve discrepancies independently
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting within a 6-day close cycle
- Step into ongoing close processes and help stabilize and improve efficiencies
Qualifications – Senior Accountant
- Proven experience leading or heavily supporting month-end close processes
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) required
- Ability to work effectively in environments with minimal documentation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills
- Self-directed, organized, and able to prioritize in a fast-moving environment
- Prior experience stepping into mid-stream close processes and improving workflows strongly preferred
