  • The Opportunity: Reporting to accounting leadership, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in month-end close, deferred revenue accounting, reconciliations, payables, sales tax compliance, and financial reporting. The Senior Accountant’s Responsibilities

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis.
  • Prepare and post journal entries and support the month-end close process.
  • Own deferred revenue accounting, including schedule maintenance, reconciliations, and monthly revenue recognition.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, cash activity, and vendor statements.
  • Process accounts payable transactions, vendor setup, and weekly payments via check, ACH, wire, and other payment methods.
  • Reconcile credit card activity, prepayments, and other cash transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with multi-state sales and use tax requirements.
  • Assist with annual audits and the preparation of supporting schedules.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of accrual accounting, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Experience with deferred revenue accounting and account reconciliations.
  • NetSuite experience highly preferred.
  • Experience with Avalara and multi-state sales tax compliance preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Inventory accounting experience preferred
  • but not required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
