Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant
- Support full‑cycle accounts payable processing and serve as backup for the accounting specialist as the Senior Accountant
- Prepare accounts receivable activity related to county, federal, and state funding and reporting as the Senior Accountant
- Assist with bi‑weekly payroll processing and maintain payroll system accuracy as the Senior Accountant
- Monitor inventory schedules, analyze weekly cash intake, and perform reconciliations of monthly units as the Senior Accountant
- Support month‑end close processes, including journal entries, corrections, and deposit transmissions as the Senior Accountant
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with nonprofit experience required
- Advanced Excel skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
