Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant
- Lead and support month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting as the Senior Accountant
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and variance-related adjustments as the Senior Accountant
- Analyze expenses, research fluctuations, and provide meaningful financial insights during close cycles as the Senior Accountant
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigate discrepancies, and ensure general ledger accuracy as the Senior Accountant
- Support internal controls, audit requests, and process improvement initiatives while helping strengthen accounting operations as the Senior Accountant
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a large or complex organization
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, and complex financial analysis
