SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

A well-established and growing organization in the industrial services industry is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial reporting, supporting month-end close, analyzing financial performance, and assisting with budgeting and audit activities.

OVERVIEW OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ROLE:
- Reconcile equipment inventory and related general ledger accounts.
- Assist with reconciliation of parts inventory accounts.
- Review equipment purchase orders, machine estimates, and inventory receipts.
- Analyze divisional financial statements and equipment profitability.
- Prepare and review journal entries during the month-end close process.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support year-end financial audits by preparing schedules and compiling audit documentation.
- Create ad hoc financial reports and perform data analysis for leadership.
- Provide backup support for other accounting functions as needed.
- Perform additional accounting and financial analysis projects as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
- CPA designation is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred.
- Experience using Power BI is preferred.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
