Senior Accountant

About the Company/Opportunity

CFS is partnering with a growing Portland-based manufacturer that has built a strong brand around quality, thoughtful sourcing, and products people genuinely enjoy. The company is entrepreneurial, growing, and hands-on, with a manufacturing operation that brings together production, inventory, supply chain, retail, and e-commerce.

This is an opportunity to join a close-knit accounting team where the Senior Accountant will have visibility across the business and a meaningful role in keeping the financial operation running smoothly. The ideal candidate enjoys being hands-on, digging into the details, and working closely with both accounting and operations.

  • Prepare and analyze financial information and investigate variances
  • Manage general ledger activity and maintain accurate accounting records
  • Perform inventory and cost accounting activities in a manufacturing environment
  • Reconcile inventory, COGS, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other balance sheet accounts
  • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management as needed
  • Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and management analysis
  • Partner with operations to understand production, purchasing, inventory, and cost-related activity
  • Help identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting
  • Support year-end audit and tax activities
  • Assist with special projects as the company continues to grow

Preferred Qualifications / What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

  • NetSuite experience required
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large amounts of financial data
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on environment where priorities can shift as the business grows
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively with accounting, operations, and leadership
