Key Responsibilities for the Sr Accountant Role:
- Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide insights to management.
- Support intercompany accounting activities and maintain compliance with established accounting procedures.
- Partner directly with department leaders to explain financial results, budgets, and key business drivers.
Qualifications for the Sr Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with progressive accounting experience.
- Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and advanced data analysis functions.
- Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience is preferred. Ability to work independently and quickly learn established processes.
