Our client, a large publicly traded global organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance team. This newly created role has been established to support increasing business complexity and continued global expansion.
This is a high-visibility position with direct exposure to corporate accounting and controllership leadership. The role offers a broad scope across consolidations, SEC reporting support, treasury and intercompany accounting, and internal controls. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare consolidation journal entries as part of the monthly close process
- Consolidate financial results from global reporting units and prepare supporting analyses
- Own key components of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including eliminations and reconciliations
- Prepare quarterly financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules
- Support SEC reporting requirements, including quarterly and annual filings
- Assist with board reporting and executive-level financial presentations
- Review financial data from operating units to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Support treasury, intercompany, and corporate accounting functions
- Partner with internal and external auditors during quarterly and annual audits
- Assist with internal controls testing and compliance documentation
- Support and maintain consolidation systems and databases
- Drive process improvements to enhance close efficiency and reporting accuracy
- Provide accounting guidance and support to business units and cross-functional partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required (Master’s or MBA preferred)
- CPA preferred
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior experience in a Big 4 firm or large public company strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
- Experience with consolidations and multi-entity accounting highly preferred
- Exposure to SEC reporting or financial statement preparation is a plus
- Experience with ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capability
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively under deadlines in a dynamic environment
