Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant who’s ready to step into a high-impact role at the intersection of finance, technology, and content. This is your chance to go beyond traditional accounting and become a key player in how a fast-moving, publicly traded media business operates, reports, and grows.

Why This Role Stands Out

Here, you’ll be part of the engine that powers transparency, investor confidence, and strategic decision-making. You’ll work directly with teams across finance, FP&A, content, and engineering—gaining visibility into how a modern media company turns creativity into measurable performance. This is your opportunity to make an impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Play a critical role in the monthly close process, performing balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries and accruals, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and transparency
  • Assist with SEC reporting, including preparation of financial statements, disclosures and supporting schedules
  • Revenue recognition, reviewing contracts and related accounting
  • Partner cross-functionally with multiple departments to investigate variances in budget vs. actual numbers to align financial reporting with business activity
  • Analyze complex transactions and translate them into clear accounting treatment and documentation
  • Help strengthen internal controls and maintain compliance in a dynamic, evolving environment
  • Evaluate existing processes for internal controls and efficiency improvements

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
  • 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience and strong foundation in U.S. GAAP
  • Experience with public company reporting or readiness to step into that environment a plus
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and fast-moving priorities
  • Strong communication skills—you can explain complex accounting concepts to non-finance teams
  • Curiosity and a desire to understand how the business operates beyond the numbers

What Our Client Is Looking For

  • Someone who is detail-oriented but sees the bigger picture
  • A collaborator who enjoys working across teams, not just within finance
  • A problem-solver who brings ideas, not just answers
  • A professional who’s excited by the intersection of technology, media, and data

Salary: $115-$135K, depending on experience
