Senior Accountant

Salary: $85,000 – $95,000
Location: Teterboro, NJ | Fully in-office

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant:

  • Maintain the general ledger and oversee month-end close activities.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Manage accounts receivable activities, customer payments, account reconciliations, and credit reviews.
  • Reconcile inventory, investigate variances, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Process and oversee payroll administration through ADP.
  • Supervise accounts payable and billing staff while serving as a backup resource when needed.

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:

  • Senior-level accounting experience with full-cycle accounting responsibilities.
  • Experience maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close activities.
  • Strong reconciliation experience including bank, inventory, A/R, and A/P accounts.
  • Payroll processing experience, preferably using ADP.
  • Experience preparing financial reports and working with external CPA firms.
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience within an accounting environment.
