SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Warrendale, PA 15086| Hybrid | $80,000–$90,000

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our client’s growing finance team. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who is ready to take ownership of key financial processes, contribute to process improvements, and grow into a future leadership position.

The Senior Accountant will play an important role in managing core accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial reporting, and strengthening internal processes. Based on performance and organizational needs, this position offers the potential to develop into an Accounting Manager or similar leadership role.

OVERVIEW OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ROLE

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements

• Ensure the accuracy of financial records and compliance with GAAP

• The Senior Accountant will maintain general ledger integrity and investigate discrepancies

• Support external audits and coordinate with auditors as needed

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and internal controls

• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ROLE

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting systems or ERP platforms

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Interest in developing leadership skills and taking on additional responsibilities
