Key Responsibilities for the Senior Cost Accountant:
- Maintain and improve standard inventory costing processes
- Perform variance analysis comparing actual, budgeted, and estimated costs
- Analyze gross margins by product and provide insights to sales and leadership teams
- Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs)
- Update labor and overhead rates to ensure accurate product costing
- Leverage ERP to improve reporting, costing accuracy, and business insights
Qualifications for the Senior Cost Accountant:
- 2+ years of manufacturing accounting or cost accounting experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment or public accounting experience supporting manufacturing clients
- Understanding of inventory costing, variance analysis, and product costing concepts
- Experience working within ERP systems
