Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain the general ledger, perform account reconciliations, and prepare workpapers for a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential properties
- Record journal entries as needed
- Reconcile CAM charges, billbacks, and calculate lease escalations
- Perform budget-to-actual variance analysis
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and year-end financial statements for investment funds
- Maintain, reconcile, and record monthly accounting from third-party property managers
- Provide backup support to the Fund Controller and Assistant Controller as needed
- Prepare special reports and assist with projects by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- 3+ years of real estate accounting experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Yardi experience highly preferred
