Key Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports and supporting schedules
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and journal entries
- Assist with preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Ensure timely and accurate data is captured in the general ledger
- Partner closely with finance and accounting teams to support reporting and analysis
- Support ongoing accounting projects and process improvements
Qualifications for the Staff Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required)
- Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience
- General ledger, reconciliations, and journal entry experience
- Understanding of GAAP
- Agriculture industry experience is a plus
