Position Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk supports daily warehouse and office operations by managing incoming and outgoing shipments, assisting customers and vendors, and providing administrative support to company leadership and the sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and verify shipments from vendors and international suppliers.
- Prepare shipping documentation and coordinate customer shipments.
- Communicate with customers and vendors via email and phone.
- Process sales acknowledgments and related correspondence.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
- Maintain organized filing of quotes, customer orders, and vendor records.
- Provide administrative support to the President, Vice President, Office Manager, and Sales team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous office, customer service, shipping, or administrative experience preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, SAP, and UPS software experience, is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations and follow written and verbal instructions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, bend, and lift materials throughout the workday.
- Regularly lift and move items up to 100 pounds.
Work Environment
- A combination of office and warehouse activities.
- Moderate noise level with occasional exposure to industrial work areas
