Salary: $75,000–$95,000
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Michigan City. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with strong financial reporting skills who can take ownership of the full month-end close process and provide meaningful analysis of company performance and margins.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, P&L, Balance Sheet, and cash flow reporting.
- Perform detailed margin analysis, variance analysis, and profitability reporting.
- Investigate financial variances and provide recommendations to improve margins and overall financial performance.
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and ensure compliance with accounting policies and GAAP.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Partner with operations and leadership to provide financial insight and support business decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong experience with financial reporting and analysis.
- Proven ability to independently manage the complete month-end close process.
- Strong understanding of margin analysis, profitability, and financial variances.
- Excellent Excel and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
