Key Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant:
- Record daily cash activity and reconcile bank, credit card, payroll, sales, and accounts payable transactions
- Prepare monthly bank, intercompany, prepaid expense, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Process accruals, journal entries, inventory adjustments, and account reclassifications
- Assist with monthly financial statement preparation and sales tax filings
- Support year-end close activities, audit requests, and special accounting projects
Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:
- 2+ years of general accounting or related accounting experience
- Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes
- Strong Excel skills and experience working within an accounting system
- Experience supporting multi-location, restaurant, retail, or hospitality operations is a plus
