Key Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Support revenue recognition and deferred revenue analysis
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and proper documentation
- Contribute to financial reporting, audits, and cross-functional efforts as the Staff Accountant
Qualifications for the Staff Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1-3 years of accounting experience
- Exposure to month-end close, financial statement preparation, and budget support
- Experience with bank reconciliations, journal entries, and account reconciliations a plus
- Staff Accountant will be proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data organization
- Experience with ERP or accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks) preferred
- Strong attention to detail with solid organizational and time management skills
