Key Responsibilities for a Staff Accountant
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
- Assist with accounts receivable activities, including tracking and recording booking-related revenue
- Prepare and generate monthly P&L reports, with a focus on analyzing revenue streams and cost structures
- Support month-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries
- Maintain accurate financial records within QuickBooks Desktop and other accounting systems
- Collaborate with operations to ensure proper revenue recognition and expense tracking
- Assist with ad hoc reporting and financial analysis as needed
Qualifications for a Staff Accountant
- 2+ years of experience in an accounting role, preferably as a Staff Accountant
- Strong experience with QuickBooks Desktop is required
- Exposure to additional accounting or ERP systems is highly preferred
- Experience handling both AP and AR functions
- Ability to prepare and analyze P&L statements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fully in-office environment
