Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant

  • Prepare and post journal entries as part of the monthly close process.

  • Assist with both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.

  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash balances.

  • Process and reconcile cash receipts.

  • Prepare accruals and maintain fixed asset schedules.

  • Assist with month-end close and financial reporting.

  • Support audits and participate in process improvement initiatives as the company continues to grow.

Preferred Qualifications for the Staff Accountant

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • One or more years of accounting experience or a completed accounting internship.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software is a plus.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
