Staff Accountant

Location: Wilsonville, OR

Salary: $58,000 – $62,000

This position serves as a core foundational component of the corporate finance team, taking ownership of day-to-day general bookkeeping, account analysis, and financial report maintenance. As a Staff Accountant, you will handle general ledger activities, complete timely cash reconciliations, and support managing market fund accounts. Key Responsibilities

  • General Ledger & Closings: Prepare and record routine and specialized journal entries, and manage assigned monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Fixed Asset Tracking: Support maintaining the corporate fixed asset system for monthly additions and disposals, including calculating and posting depreciation entries.
  • Cash Management: Complete timely monthly cash reconciliations and maintain daily cash tracking worksheets for deposit and general accounts, following up on bank corrections as needed.
  • Fund & Tax Support: Support managing specialized market fund accounts, coordinate internal configurations, and prepare required property tax reports to ensure accurate, timely filing.
  • Audit & Compliance Support: Provide direct administrative and analytical support to the tax accounting staff and fulfill external auditor schedules.
  • Process Documentation: Create and update comprehensive standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all assigned accounting workflows to support departmental efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Backup: Cross-train and act as a reliable operational backup for other staff accountant responsibilities, assisting with budgeting and ad hoc projects as needed.

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience with general bookkeeping, corporate accounting, or finance.
  • Solid foundational understanding of general accounting principles, data entry accuracy, and account verification.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating across all levels of management and external professional services.
  • A proactive, team-oriented work ethic with a focus on collaborative problem resolution and process improvements.
