Transportation Specialist – 2nd Shift

Key Responsibilities for the Transportation Specialist:

• Quote and schedule LTL, Volume LTL, and expedited shipments based on customer requirements.
• Coordinate with customers, carriers, and shipping contacts to ensure timely pickup and delivery.
• Dispatch carriers and provide shipping documentation, including bills of lading.
• Track and trace shipments and communicate status updates as needed.
• Resolve shipment issues, service exceptions, and customer concerns.
• Support freight claims and assist with process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications for the Transportation Specialist:

• 1+ year of experience in customer service, transportation, logistics, or 3PL operations preferred.
• Knowledge of LTL freight rating, freight classifications, density calculations, and NMFC guidelines.
• Understanding of LTL carrier tariffs, rules, and transportation management systems (TMS).
• Ability to manage high-volume communication through phone, email, and web-based platforms.
• Availability to work a 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM schedule.
